What inspires you when you wake up?
Smell of coffee and morning podcasts (FT News, BBC, The Economist – the usual suspects)
UpSlide helps people save time; what do you do with that spared time?
I have a personal challenge to actually finish reading one book per month. Currently, I’m reading Rise of the Robots by Martin Ford.
What is your favorite UpSlide feature?
By far our Excel-to-PowerPoint Link! I will never get tired of the client reactions, whenever the Link is demonstrated on a screen during a meeting.
How would you describe UpSlide in one word?
Wicked!

Kurtis, our mission is to “Help People Work Better”, what’s your own practical tip to work better?
Keep your inbox empty. If you have lots of folders/categories for your emails, you will always be able to keep on top of you work. If you can scroll in your inbox, it needs cleaning! This way, you can use your emails as a to-do list.
What inspires you when you wake up?
Just how lucky I am to be in the position I am in. There are a lot of worse places and situations that you can find yourself waking up in and I’m more than happy with mine.
UpSlide helps people save time; what do you do with that spared time?
I’m usually socialising with friends after work, either at the pub or at someone’s house. I also love watching films, learning the piano and playing badminton every week.
What is your favorite UpSlide feature?
I’d have to say Slide Check. It’s hard work enough having to complete horribly long pieces of work – it’s even worse having to read it all back and check for mistakes (speaking from my uni days).
How would you describe UpSlide in one word?
Intuitive.

In order to work better I believe that you also must have fun.
What inspires you when you wake up?
If everybody can have a laugh in the office, they will be more productive, enthusiastic and happy at work.

These days what gets me up in the morning is the thought of going for a run, especially when it is raining!

My favourite UpSlide feature is Smart Format for Excel.
